MAVERICKS BOOSTER CLUB

Some activities are for booster members only; others are open to the public.

Beginning with the arrival of the new players in early April we will assist them with items for their apartments (bedding, cooking utensils, kitchen items, we have a few small televisions and microwaves, etc.). We then host a welcome to town dinner at a local establishment, usually having at least 150 fans participating, to introduce the manager, coaching staff and players to the community. The booster club pays for all the team staff and players dinners. At the dinner the players and team staff each are presented with a bag of useful items from the businesses in the community.

During the season we will have potlucks for the players, tailgate parties, road trips to local parks and possibly a bus trip to a not so local park. The general membership meetings are held once a month beginning in January with the last meeting in September Depending on the trainer each year, we purchase food for the clubhouse before each game.

We also have the booster booth on the concourse at the stadium from which we sell some small items and sell chances on items donated to us, With that money we raise through memberships and the items sold at the booth we finance the above activities.
